Website redesign / Offer change

How to Redesign a Website Around a New Offer

When your offer changes, a new visual style alone cannot fix the mismatch between the site and what you now sell.

Define the new buying decision

Write down who the new offer serves, the problem it addresses, what is included, what is excluded, and the next step you want a qualified buyer to take. Compare this with the current site. Note where the old offer still appears in headlines, navigation, forms, project examples, and search snippets.

Do not assume every old page should be removed. Some may still answer a relevant question or attract the right audience.

Map pages to the new offer

Decide whether the change needs a new service page, a revised homepage, new proof, different navigation, or a different inquiry path. If the offer changes the audience or delivery model, the structure may need more work than a copy update. The service-page guide helps define a page around a distinct customer decision.

Keep clear boundaries between current and former services. A visitor should not have to infer what you still sell from a mixed portfolio.

Plan the transition for existing traffic

Inventory URLs, backlinks, forms, and campaigns that refer to the old offer. Retain useful pages when they remain accurate. When a page is replaced, choose the most relevant destination and plan redirects; do not send every old route to the homepage. The SEO continuity guide covers the broader migration work.

Coordinate the change with sales and support so incoming questions receive the same explanation as the website.

Launch with a coherent inquiry path

Test the new offer from first landing page through contact confirmation. Check qualification questions, routing, automated replies, and any booking step. Make sure the team can answer inquiries before the site starts promoting the offer.

Measure whether visitors reach the relevant page and submit qualified inquiries after launch. Use those signals to refine the explanation, rather than judging the redesign only by visual approval.
