Website redesign / Diagnosis
Ten signs your website needs a redesign.
A redesign is justified when the current website blocks customers or the team—not simply because it has reached a certain age.
1–2. Visitors cannot understand the offer or next step
1. The homepage describes the company but does not quickly explain what it offers, who it serves, or why that matters.
2. Important pages end without a clear next action, or every call to action sends visitors somewhere unrelated to their decision.
3–4. The site no longer matches the business
3. Services, products, positioning, or target customers have changed, but the navigation and copy still describe the old business.
4. Sales conversations repeatedly explain information that should already be clear on the website.
5–6. Mobile use and key journeys are difficult
5. Text, navigation, forms, product choices, or contact actions are difficult to use on a phone.
6. Visitors must move through unnecessary steps to understand an offer, compare options, or submit an inquiry.
7–8. The team cannot operate the site confidently
7. Routine content changes require fragile workarounds or a developer every time.
8. Forms, analytics, integrations, or important accounts are unreliable, undocumented, or controlled by former suppliers.
9–10. Search visibility and measurement are weak
9. Important pages lack clear titles, useful content, canonical URLs, internal links, or a stable URL structure.
10. The business cannot confirm whether inquiries arrive, which pages support them, or what changed after a release.
A focused refresh may solve isolated copy, form, or mobile issues. Use a redesign when the problems are connected across structure, content, design, and technology.
