How to Plan a Data Center Company Website

A data center website should let technical, procurement, and risk teams establish fit without turning infrastructure into uncheckable marketing claims.

Organise the offer around deployment fit

Start with the decisions a buyer must make: markets, facility locations, colocation formats, cloud connectivity, power-density needs, network options, expansion plans, and the operational support required. Separate services clearly so a visitor can distinguish a single rack, private suite, managed infrastructure, and connectivity without decoding internal product names.

Create facility pages with consistent fields for location, access, available service types, connectivity, operational coverage, and the process for confirming current capacity. The same discipline used to structure business service pages helps buyers compare fit without implying that changing availability is guaranteed.

Publish evidence buyers can verify

Explain resilience, security, efficiency, and compliance in specific, reviewable terms. Name the scope and current status of certifications, distinguish facility controls from customer responsibilities, and link to appropriate policy or assurance material. Avoid unsupported uptime, sustainability, or performance claims.

Use diagrams and concise explanations to show power paths, cooling approach, physical access, monitoring, and network diversity where disclosure is appropriate. Give each technical document an owner and review date so procurement teams are not working from an obsolete brochure.

Explain migration and operations

Show what happens after a prospect chooses a location: technical discovery, site visit, solution design, commercial review, installation, migration, testing, and service handover. State what the customer, carrier, migration partner, and data center team each provide.

Support existing customers with clear routes to the portal, service status, remote hands, deliveries, access requests, and escalation contacts. Keep sales content separate from operational tasks so urgent support does not disappear into a general enquiry form.

Design a useful sales route

A qualification form can ask for preferred market, deployment type, target timing, rack or power range, connectivity, compliance needs, and whether a site visit is required. Ask only for information the sales team will use, and do not invite sensitive architecture documents before a secure exchange has been arranged.

Measure qualified conversations, facility-page journeys, document use, and confirmed visits rather than raw traffic. A strong data center website makes technical fit easier to assess and gives both sides a better first conversation.
